I’ve been eagerly waiting to post this story about the Galvin Green Apparel Expedition In Lofoten for the last 7 months, but as there has been an embargo on releasing the images, it’s only now that I can share with you my favourite project from last year, shot at my all time top golfing destination with one of Golf’s best known brands.

I’ve always been a big fan of the Galvin Green Brand and over the last couple of years I’ve worked on a few small projects for them.

So when I was asked to be the Scenery Photographer on their major new product shoot at Lofoten Links in Norway, I jumped at the chance.

We were a team of about 13 people, covering stills and video of the new Galvin Green Product range for 2017, my role was to get the ‘bigger picture’ story of the expedition.

To ensure you are getting the best possible images on any major shoot it helps to have an amazing location with outstanding models. 24 hours of constant daylight meant that we could be flexible with the timings and the light. The new range of Galvin Green apparel looked stunning on our professional golfers and with Lofoten Links as a backdrop there was an exciting buzz amongst the crew about the pending shoot.

Eddie and Marcus from Black agency in Sweden have been working on the Galvin Green account since the start up of the company, their understanding and passion for the brand was evident from the moment we arrived at the Lofoten Club house.

Managed by Troon Golf, Lofoten Links is one of my top 5 best golf courses and destinations, having been there 3 times before, I was utilised to show them around the course and look at suitable locations not only for the stills but also for the videos.

A lot of the images were close ups of the new products, showing off new technology in finishing, new graphics and new materials. Marcus and Eddie were busy shooting the close ups and so I concentrated on a different angle.

At the end of the 1st day we checked through the images. After supper I sat down with Marcus and Eddie and they said they liked what I was doing with the images. And so for the next 3 days I worked on both the bigger picture and also covering the players in a slightly different style and angle to their shots.

It was an amazing experience being part of such a professional and creative team. The new Galvin Green website is a testament of trust and cooperation between Agency and Client, check it out by visiting http://www.galvingreen.com/

I’m very proud to have been part of the team of Expedition Lofoten and really enjoyed the experience.

I hope it shows through with my small contribution.
